With my wife out of town for the weekend, with our car, I was left with the choice of bike places, or do jack and squat. So, I chose the former and had some great mileage days!
Saturday
- 37.35 miles of riding "sweeper" for our local charity training ride. Since Kelly had the car, I wound up biking back and forth to the start point for extra mileage
- 9.62 miles out to our friends house to see a movie, then consume mass quantities. Then, donning lights and reflective gear I biked back home. Total mileage for the day: 46.97 miles. Hardly even really loaded for it, though I was paying for it later on that night. Good night sleep though
Sunday
- 17.8 miles out to Campus, forgetting of course that it was the Undergraduate Commencement that very hour. Campus was quite challenging to navigate with all of the families out and about, but managed to get in to feed Kelly's boss' fish before, before heading back out to hit up one of my favorite loops around my area: Ellis Hollow Creek. About 15 miles of rolling hills, with some beautiful scenery. Got home and hoovered the frozen Pizza
Monday
- 7.1 miles of nowhere. One of the blogs that I follow is Fatty's, and he had a race this year called 100 miles of Nowhere, which I thought about entering this year, but alas the monies were not there. To honor those who went nowhere the day before, I circled our 0.04 mile cull de sac with the occasional jaunt up and down the street for about 7 miles. I think that will be my course next year, though we'll see how it all shakes down
